Changelog

Every change, documented

What is changing, what changed, and what we are about to change. No "surprise redesign that breaks your Monday flow" — that happens to others.

Our commitment

Transparency in writing, not just marketing

Zero surprise redesigns

If a change modifies a flow you already use, we announce it 90 days in advance and keep the previous version accessible in the meantime.

Breaking changes are flagged in red

Our target is 0 per year. If you see one below, it will carry an explicit impact note and a migration guide.

If we retire a feature

We provide a migration path (export, an equivalent alternative, or extra time to reorganize). We never leave a user without an option.

Same day as the deploy

The changelog is published the same day as the deploy. What you see below reflects exactly what's live in production right now.

New 16/5 Latest

Rebrand to corporate blue #3C83F6 + new isotype

New palette inspired by Urbeme: primary blue #3C83F6 (HSL 217 91% 60%) on a white background with a blue-tinted gray scale. Foreground on primary switches to white (AAA contrast). New isotype: a 4-pixel composition with a notch in each quadrant instead of the previous diamond. The entire app, the marketing site, and the PWA assets (icons, OG image, splash screens, favicon, status bar) have been regenerated. VeriFactu status tokens were rebalanced so they don't clash with the blue: submitted moves to blue-teal, accepted stays compliance-green.

Full visual change. A more mature brand identity, differentiated from Holded (purple), Quipu (violet), and Contasimple (corporate green). No breaking changes — every semantic token keeps working.

New 12/5

Primary color adjustment — Cofactu green #9CCC50

The lime #CCFC7E felt light on presence (L=83, nearly pastel). We moved to a medium-saturation green #9CCC50 (HSL 83 55% 56%) that keeps the brand hue but gains density. Foreground on primary stays dark (on green, white fails AA; dark passes AAA with margin). PWA icons, splash screens, OG image, favicon, and emails regenerated. As a side effect, we split the chart and VeriFactu status tokens to avoid three greens in a row in pie charts: processing → teal, submitted → indigo, accepted → success-green. New --primary-hover token for hovers consistent with marketing.

Purely visual change — nothing changes in the invoicing or VeriFactu flow.

New 9/5

Marketing v2 — full landing redesign

New site with a clean design inspired by SaaSleek + the Cofactu lime palette (#CCFC7E). Hero, pricing, blog, comparisons, and security pages move to the new look. Progressive migration — the current site stays live until v2 is validated.

New 9/5

Rebrand teal → lime as primary color

The product's primary color moves from teal #0d968b to lime #CCFC7E. Foreground on primary inverted to dark to guarantee AA contrast. PWA icons + splash screens regenerated with the new palette.

Compliance 1/5

Automatic detection and repair of the VeriFactu chain

We verify the integrity of the per-series hash chain. If we detect breaks (a typical cause of AEAT error 4171), invoices that haven't been accepted are repaired in one click — the system recomputes the hash automatically. Accepted invoices are left untouched.

Differentiator vs. Holded/Quipu/Contasimple: a break is usually discovered only when AEAT rejects the next submission, with N invoices already affected. We prevent it here.

New 1/5

Public security comparison

New /security page covering the 5 pillars (identity, data, immutability, compliance, monitoring) with an explicit comparison table against Holded, Contasimple, Quipu, and Sage, with verbatim quotes from Trustpilot/Capterra.

New 1/5

Transactional email when AEAT rejects an invoice

Until now, an AEAT rejection waited for you to open the dashboard. Owners and admins now get a proactive email with the code + title + why + how to fix it + a direct link to the AEAT log. Respects per-user opt-out in notification preferences.

Compliance 1/5

Human-readable catalog of AEAT errors (1xxx · 41xx · 5xxx)

The AEAT log now shows, for each code (4124, 4112, 4101, 4170…), a clear headline, the reason for rejection, and actionable steps to fix it. When available, links to the official AEAT documentation.

Differentiator vs. Holded — Capterra records mass complaints about error 4124 with no explanation.

Compliance 1/5

AEAT power-of-attorney tracking + T-90/T-30/T-7 alerts

New section under Settings → Compliance to configure the type of power of attorney (own certificate, social collaborator, general/specific authorization) with its expiration date. Automatic alerts 90, 30, and 7 days before it expires.

Cause #1 of mass rejections at accounting firms. No competitor monitors this.

New 29/4

AI assistant creates invoices from a prompt

The conversational assistant (⌘ K) gets its first write tool: "Create an invoice for Acme for €500 for consulting" → resolves the client by NIF/name, calculates totals, and leaves the draft ready for review.

Invoices are always created as a DRAFT — you manually trigger the submission to AEAT.

New 29/4

Cashflow forecast with a client's historical delay

/reports/cashflow now shifts each pending payment by adding the client's actual median delay (paidAt − paymentDueDate, 12-month window). A client without enough history uses the global median. ON/OFF toggle.

New 28/4

Monthly summary by email (cron on day 1, 08:00 UTC)

Owners receive an email on the 1st of every month with the previous month's metrics (revenue, VAT, pending payments) and detected anomalies, generated by workers/scheduled-tasks.

New 28/4

AI auto-categorization of manual expenses

When entering an expense by hand (not scanned), the "✨ Suggest with AI" button proposes a category + PGC account based on the vendor and description. "AI · X%" badge shown when you accept the suggestion.

New 26/4

Sandbox = every feature + renewable AI quotas

Sandbox mode is no longer a finite trial. Every feature is available for evaluation, with generous monthly AI quotas (300 OCR, 80 AI/day, 60 fiscal KB/month). Invoices still aren't sent to real AEAT, and PDFs carry a "SANDBOX · No legal value" watermark.

Performance 25/4

PWA — iOS splash screens for 14 devices

When you install Cofactu as a PWA on iPhone/iPad, you no longer see the white flash on launch. We generate splash screens from iPhone SE up to iPad Pro 12.9.

New 25/4

Assistant as a dedicated page (/assistant)

In the style of the GitHub Copilot mobile app: a list of persistent chats in IndexedDB with search, an individual thread view with auto-scroll, and quick questions as chips.

Compliance 21/4

Automatic OCR for client portal uploads

When a client uploads an invoice through the public portal, Lucía processes it immediately and fills in the fields so the accountant only has to review.

New 21/4

Email notifications for tasks and the portal

Accounting firm workflows now send email notifications: when a task is assigned or is due (#40 gap 5), and when a client uploads a document to the portal (15-minute rate limit to avoid flooding the admin).

Compliance 19/4

Annual forms 347, 390, 190 across clients

The accounting firm's cross-client view now includes annual forms alongside the quarterly ones. Reuses the existing fiscal_presentations infrastructure.
