vs QuipuComparison

Cofactu vs Quipu — no gems, and with real 2FA.

Quipu has solid OCR, but self-employed users invoice without 2FA, its mobile OCR forces opening a laptop to close the loop, and phone support sits behind a 49€ Premium paywall. Comparison with real quotes from Trustpilot and Capterra (May 2026).

What Quipu users say in 2026

Quotes and recurring patterns from Trustpilot, Capterra, and the App Store. We don't edit or cherry-pick the harshest ones — these are the most repeated complaints in verified reviews, with a link to the source.

"Quipu doesn't provide 2FA, no passkey, no Auth0 for login. It's not secure and leaves financial data exposed if a password leaks."

Capterra · Quipu reviews

"You can't add a VAT ID to international contacts, and you have to manually flag reverse charge invoices."

Trustpilot ES · Quipu

"Once a document is scanned, approval can only be done from the web version. The mobile app doesn't close the loop."

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why do you make such a big deal about 2FA?
Because managing electronic invoicing means custody of sensitive tax data plus a signed VeriFactu hash chain. If a password leaks, without 2FA an attacker can issue invoices under your name. It's a minimum baseline for a financial product. Quipu has confirmed this gap in its Capterra reviews and still hasn't implemented it.
Doesn't Quipu have mobile OCR? But it does have an app...
The app captures the receipt and uploads it. But final approval of the expense (validating extracted fields, assigning an accounting category, saving) requires opening the browser. Cofactu closes the entire loop from mobile — useful when you're out of the office with meal, taxi, or hotel receipts.
How much does it cost to migrate from Quipu?
Free. You export your data from the Quipu panel (CSV of clients, products, invoices) and upload it at /migrar/desde-quipu. If you're coming with >500 historical invoices, we give you the first month free to validate before migrating for good.
What if Quipu adds 2FA tomorrow?
Then welcome to the club. This page gets updated the same day. But the rest of the gaps (mobile OCR, gated support, modular pricing, no native multi-tenant) would still stand. And Cofactu's 24-month frozen-price commitment (/precios-justos) isn't something they match either.

30-day trial, no card required

If you'd rather stay with Quipu afterward, you take your data with you in a ZIP. No lock-in, no "let us call you to talk you out of it."
