About Cofactu

Built by people who actually invoice

Cofactu is software for self-employed people, small businesses, and accounting firms who'd rather not lose their weekends fighting the AEAT. Built by a small team that reads the regulation before writing the code.

How we work

Six rules the team doesn't negotiate

These aren't poster values. They're the decisions made every day while building Cofactu.

Compliance-first

Every feature is validated against RD 1007/2023 and the official AEAT XSD before merging. If it doesn't comply, it doesn't ship.

Regulatory speed

The Orden HAC changes, the XSDs land in Cofactu the same day. No "we'll add it to next quarter's roadmap."

Customer-centric

Designed with real accounting firms. What makes tax sense gets built — not what inflates a demo.

No lock-in

The data belongs to the customer. Export in one click, anytime. Customers are kept happy, not trapped.

Honest pricing

Everything included, no surprise add-ons for VeriFactu, per user, or a "premium module." What you see is what you pay.

Human support

The person who writes the code answers, in under 1 hour. No tiers, no "I'll escalate it to the technical department."

What it's built on

Built on the official regulation, not on assumptions

Every technical decision comes from reading the law, not guessing at it. These are the sources Cofactu's engine is built on.

RD 1007/2023

VeriFactu regulation

Technical requirements for invoicing software. Cofactu's engine was designed from this.

Orden HAC/1177/2024

Technical specification

XML formats, fields, and AEAT endpoints. The XSDs are updated in Cofactu the same day.

Ley 11/2021

Anti-Fraud Law

Art. 29.2.j — the legal basis requiring verifiable software. The why behind everything.

AEAT

Sandbox and production

First invoice accepted in May 2026 (CSV A-MMURGK5EJUWRZU). mTLS chain operational.

Who it's for

Designed for businesses of every size

Self-employed
Invoice, comply with VeriFactu, and file your returns (130, 303, 390) without fighting the AEAT or paying add-ons. From €15/month, all included.
Small businesses
Multi-user, multi-series, multi-location, POS, and accounting through to the balance sheet. Compliance runs itself; you run the business.
Accounting firms
Multi-client panel, centralized certificates in an encrypted vault, bulk reconciliation, and portfolio invoicing. Hundreds of clients without dying.
The person behind it

Cofactu isn't an anonymous brand. Behind every product decision there's someone with a name:

"We didn't want another tax software that charges add-ons for everything and answers you with a ticket. We wanted the one we would have liked to use ourselves: one that complies on its own, doesn't trap you, and has a real person answering."

Who's behind Cofactu?
Cofactu is a product of Codificado SL, a small team based in Madrid, Spain. It's not an anonymous brand or a project with no one accountable: there are real people behind every product decision, and support is handled by whoever writes the code.
Where is my data hosted?
In the European Union. We use infrastructure with an EU region (database and PDF/XML storage), complying with GDPR. Your tax data never leaves European soil.
Who answers if I have a problem?
The person who writes the code answers, usually in under 1 hour. No call center, no tiers, no "I'll escalate it to the technical department." That doesn't scale infinitely, but for now it's our advantage.
Can I take my data with me if I leave Cofactu?
Yes, in one click. We export your invoices, customers, and records in standard formats. We don't believe in trapping customers: if Cofactu isn't a fit, we help you leave.
Why trust a young company with something this critical?
Because compliance isn't improvised: the VeriFactu engine was designed by reading RD 1007/2023, Orden HAC/1177/2024, and RD 254/2025 in full, and every feature passes the official AEAT XSD before shipping. The first real invoice was accepted by the AEAT in May 2026.
