1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser to remember information about your visit.
2. What cookies does this site use?
This website (cofactu.com, marketing) does not use tracking cookies by default. The SaaS application (app.cofactu.com) may use necessary technical cookies for operation (Better Auth session) and, optionally and subject to prior consent, analytics cookies (PostHog).
Technical cookies (necessary — no consent required)
| Cookie | Owner | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
better-auth.session_token | Cofactu (first-party) | Keeping you signed in on app.cofactu.com | 30 days or until logout |
cookie-consent (localStorage) | Cofactu (first-party) | Remembering your decision about analytics cookies (accept/reject) | Until you change it or clear storage |
Analytics cookies (optional — only with your consent)
| Cookie | Owner | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ph_<project-key>_posthog (and its localStorage copy) | PostHog (processor, EU servers) | Product analytics: a random device identifier and aggregated usage events (pages viewed, features used) to improve the product. Not used for advertising and not shared with third parties for their own purposes | 365 days |
These cookies are not set until you expressly accept them in the first-visit banner. If you reject them, analytics is fully disabled.
3. How to manage or withdraw your consent
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, at any time:
- From the app: Profile → the "Cookie preferences" button reopens the banner and lets you change your decision (accept → reject or vice versa). This control is permanently available, not just on the first visit.
- From your browser: you can delete the site's cookies and local storage from your browser settings; on your next visit the banner will ask again.
When you withdraw consent, analytics capture stops immediately. Data already collected is kept for at most 12 months (see the privacy policy).
