Migrate from FacturaDirecta to Cofactu without losing a single invoice

FacturaDirecta is a basic product, with no confirmed VeriFactu support as of May 2026, no AEAT filing, and no public API. If you need to comply with RD 1007/2023 before the 2027 deadlines (companies in January, self-employed in July), export your data to Excel and upload it to Cofactu — the parser detects the format automatically.

FacturaDirecta exports to standard XLSX and CSV. If your plan doesn't include bulk export, contact their support first to enable the option.

Upload the files to Cofactu

Create your free account and go to Invoices → Import → From another program → select FacturaDirecta.

The parser detects the FacturaDirecta format automatically. If your export has custom columns or comes from an older version, you get an editable preview to map them to Cofactu fields.

Review the preview with N invoices + M customers and click Import. Done.

Invoices keep their original FacturaDirecta numbering and land as drafts. Since FacturaDirecta doesn't file with AEAT, all of them are new to AEAT — from now on, Cofactu covers them with real VeriFactu.

    RD 1007/2023 requires using software with signed, verifiable records starting January 2027 (companies) and July 2027 (self-employed). Cofactu complies from day 1 with the official AEAT CSV and an error catalog with explanations. FacturaDirecta is not confirmed as adapted software.

Are my historical FacturaDirecta invoices sent to AEAT?
Not automatically. Since FacturaDirecta didn't file with AEAT, pre-import invoices are entered as historical accepted (importSource='ocr_historic'). NEW invoices you create in Cofactu after the migration DO go to AEAT with VeriFactu.
Do I lose the FacturaDirecta history?
FacturaDirecta's internal logs stay there — our importer doesn't extract them. But from the import onward, Cofactu keeps its own immutable audit log with a hash chain.
Does it work with any FacturaDirecta plan?
Yes. Excel/CSV export is available on all plans. Since FacturaDirecta has no public API, all users use option B regardless of plan.
How long does it take with 500 invoices?
About 5 minutes: 2 min to export from FacturaDirecta, 1 min to upload, 2 min to parse + preview + commit. The preview is shown before the commit so you see exactly what will be imported.
What if I want to be ready for VeriFactu before 2027?
Do it now. Cofactu complies with RD 1007/2023 from day 1; the sooner you start, the sooner you remove the risk. For companies the deadline is January 2027; for self-employed, July 2027. Penalties up to 50,000 €/year.
Can I also import expenses?
Yes. FacturaDirecta → Expenses → Export Excel. Cofactu detects the format and imports them into the Expenses module. If you have attached PDFs, upload them in bulk afterward or use Cofactu's OCR to extract the data.
What about the tax forms I used to file manually?
Cofactu files 303/111/130/115/190/347/349 directly with AEAT using the official CSV. Once migrated, you'll file the next quarter in 30 seconds from Cofactu — no downloading files, no logging into the tax office portal.
