About pricing and our commitment
Why is VeriFactu free?
Because invoicing and submitting to the AEAT is being commoditized down to €0 (the AEAT's own free app, competitors using it as a hook). Competing there is a losing game. We give it away — unlimited Free, forever — and charge for the deep layers we've already built: bank reconciliation, accounting, tax, payroll, POS, and multi-client tools for accounting firms.
Can my plan's price go up?
It can, like with any SaaS — but never by surprise. If we raise your plan's price, we email you at least 30 days in advance and you can cancel before it applies. Renewals are always at the current price published on this page.
What if I downgrade or switch from monthly to annual?
Downgrading applies the lower plan's price from the next cycle. Switching from monthly to annual activates the discount (2 months free per year).
What are add-ons, and why aren't they included in the plan?
Payroll (per employee), extra POS registers (the first one is included in your plan), AI credits, extra API, and Companies Registry filings are billed separately, per unit of actual use (employee, extra register, invoice). That way we don't inflate the base plan for people who don't use them — you only pay for what you activate.
I run an accounting firm with 80+ clients. Which plan is for me?
Accounting Firm Pro (€199/month) gives you unlimited clients with native parent-child hierarchy, white-label, and an API with SLA. If you manage up to 50 clients, the Accounting Firm plan (€89/month) already covers you. In both, the value scales with clients managed, not with your cost.
What happens if you launch a new, cheaper plan?
We'll email you so you can switch to the new plan if it works better for you. We never leave you paying for a pricier plan when a better one exists for the same usage profile.
Is this legally binding somewhere, or just marketing?
It's in the terms of service: the minimum 30-day notice before any price increase is written into the renewal clause. Not just marketing copy.
Why do you do this when most companies don't?
Because we've seen what happens when you don't. Contasimple raised prices 141% in 6 years after Cegid acquired it. Anfix raises prices 80% without warning. Sage bills renewals like a brand-new purchase. Cofactu publishes its prices and gives notice before touching them. If we fail at this, we fail at what we promise on our homepage.
Does Cofactu really have a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan issues unlimited VeriFactu invoices with QR codes, quotes, and expense OCR — free forever, no card required. It's not a 14-day trial: it's a permanent plan. Paid plans add the deep layers (bank reconciliation, accounting through to the balance sheet, tax forms, payroll, POS, and multi-client tools for accounting firms).
How much does VeriFactu software cost?
At Cofactu, VeriFactu costs €0: signed electronic invoicing submitted to the AEAT is included in the unlimited Free plan.
